2. Direct opportunities for teachers to provide a reflexive commentary (alongside tutors, partners & core team):
- agree on 5 key moments for reflection / reflexive commentary and the principles for reflexive moments (RM) (250 words / 3 minutes - see separate page reflexive moments cache)
- agree methodology (why, how and what) for teachers to record their thoughts (offering the blog as a baseline but supporting use of tweet / email / video / audio etc if chosen
- create 5 shared reflexive reviews (RR) that feed back to the project the snapshots of understanding (within 2 weeks of each deadline) that summarises emerging meanings (individuals not identified at this stage):
o What are your understandings of DL/OER now?
o Which aspects of DL does your case study address?
o How is your practice/understanding of DL changing?
o How has Digital Bloom influenced your understanding and practice?
o What impact did DeFT have on your understanding and practice of DL/OER?
- create a summary reflection that examines emergence and development and reflects on the process (narrative and illustration)

20 Mar: Send email to all outlining principles of reflexive methodology
31 Mar: RM 1
30 Apr: RM 2
31 May: RM 3
31 Jul: RM 4
31 Aug: Incorporate reviews of reflexive commentaries (questions 1-4) into OT
30 Sep: RM 5
19 Oct: Incorporate any outstanding reviews into OT

Whole team to contribute to final summative RR.

This framework for reflexive commentary will provide a narration to the project and the process. It would involve teachers, tutors, partners and the whole team, with five key reflection moments.
Teachers / tutors / partners / team will be asked to record (via blogging/ email/ video/ recording) answers to key questions.
Permissions requested to identify reflectors for inclusion in the OT.

I think we agreed that we would revise the request so that we asked for fewer points of reflection. Can I suggest we change the questions for different groups:

1) Now: What understandings of digital literacy underpin your work for the project? What digital literacy skills/ knowledge and understanding does your project aim to develop?
Reflection point 2
2) 31 May: How has your understanding of digital literacy developed during the project?
3) 31 Jul: How has Digital Bloom influenced your understanding and practice?
4) 30 Sept: What impact did DeFT have on your understanding and practice of DL/OER?

The project team would like to capture our ongoing reflections on how the project is impact on our collective and individual understanding of digital literacy and Open Educational Resources. In order to do this, we would like to ask if you would engage in a number of reflections on what your understandings are and how they change as the project develops. Therefore, at various points in the project, we will ask you to send us some reflections, based on a prompt question. You can respond either through sending written or oral (podcast or video) reflections. You may already be keeping ongoing reflexive notes/ diaries as part of the project and you may wish to send us these - you do not need to do this, of course, we would be happy for you to keep these private if you would prefer. Any notes you send us may be used in reports and publications, but they will be anonymised before any future use. Please note that all team members will be taking part in this process of reflection, as we feel it will be important to trace all of our changing understandings of digital literacy/OERs.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about this process. In the meantime, we post the first prompt question below. Please could you let us have your reflections/ comments by 30th April.

Hi Jackie,
this is really good, Nicky and I will send off the first batch to teachers next week when they are back from exciting places like Majorca (this is where Jim Hildyard was when Nicky tried to get hold of him today...). I also had a conversation with Nicky re: involving PGCE students in reflexive activities, more details to come soon.
