Project News 11 April 2012

1. Richard has started to construct the framework for the open textbook      any comments welcome here .OT Structure

2.Jackie has outlined questions to help us form reflexive comments, and a page has been added to collect comments from teachers, tutors and core team members.

3. we are starting to plan times and places for training events

4.looking for ideas for phase 1 and phase 2 webspaces

 

 

Project news: 24th Feb 2012

1. We have had our Feb 9th  meeting with the teachers and Tutors, and from that have drafted out an up to date map of who is doing what in the case studies.

2. We have been looking for a venue for our schools conference in September.

3. Anna and Richard are preparing a paper for the Cambridge OER2012  conference, and we have prepared a prototype leaflet for the REEF event on 29th Feb

Project news: 27 January 2012

1. It's been a busy month! We visited all of our partners chools and talked about teachers' ideas for case studies and dissemination.

2. We talked to PGCE tutors about the scope of their involvement and we conducted two focus groups with PGCE students exploring issues related to digital literacy.

3. We submitted the required documentation for ethical approval

3. We will have a meeting with the teachers and tutors on 9 February at the Crucible.

 

Project news: 14 December 2011

1. We have a project assistant! Nicky Watts has joined the team and we are very happy to have her, given her extensive experience in the teacher education sector.

2. We had our first project meeting on 8 December

3. We are working with the schools to set up a schedule of visits in January to discuss their plans for the case studies. 

 

Project news: 15 November 2011

1. RP and AG participated in the project start-up meeting in Birmingham on 14 November 2011 - we had a chance to meet other UKOER3 projects and network, more details (and possibly a blog post) to follow

2. HEA has announced two OER-related funding opportunities, for more details please see the funding opportunities page.

3.AG will be participating in the HeLF (Heads of e-learning Forum) HeLF Progamme 22 11 11.doc  event at Bath, focusing on institutional approaches to digital Literacies - report to follow.

  

Project news: 8 November 2011

1.Core team members are meeting on 8 November, 3-5 p.m., Owen Building room 939.

2. We are in the process of approaching schools and PGCE tutors as partners for the project.

3. Anna Gruszczynska has formally been appointed as Project Manager and her new e-mail address is a.gruszczynska@shu.ac.uk

4. RP and AG participated in a community consultation event at University of Bedford which was part of "Digital Literacy and Creativity Project" (OER3 strand 2) on 7 November 2011.

4. RP and AG will be participating in the project start-up meeting in Birmingham on 14 November, report to follow.
